Who we are

Counterly builds and runs websites, kiosks, online ordering and loyalty for local restaurants, bakeries and shops. We are based in California. For anything in this notice, email [email protected].

This notice covers counterlyapp.com. Sites, kiosks and ordering we run for a client are covered by that client's own privacy notice.

What we collect, and why

The contact form

Your name, email, business type and, if you add them, your website and phone number. We use them to reply to you about Counterly and for nothing else. The submission is emailed to us; it is not written to a database.

The free website score

The web address you enter. We fetch that public page once and check it. If you then ask for the report by email, we store your email, the address and the result so we can send the report and follow up once. If you do not enter an email, nothing is stored.

Server logs

Our hosting providers keep standard request logs, including IP addresses, for a short time. We use them for security and to rate-limit the score tool.

Cookies

None. No advertising or tracking scripts run on this site.

Who processes it

We use a small number of providers to run the site, each under its own terms: Cloudflare (hosting and the contact form), Railway (the score service), Supabase (the database that holds score leads) and Resend (email delivery). We do not sell personal information, we do not share it for advertising, and we do not use it to train anything.

How long we keep it

Contact form emails for as long as the conversation is live. Score leads for up to twelve months, then deleted. Anything sooner, on request.

Your rights

Wherever you are, you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us and we will do it within 45 days, usually the same week. We will never treat you differently for asking. If you are in California, these are also your rights under the CCPA; we have no sale or sharing of personal information for you to opt out of.

Children

This site is for business owners and is not directed at anyone under 16.

Changes

If what we collect changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves.
